IUBMB Conference

Présentation:
We are delighted to extend an invitation to participate in the International Conference on “Molecules of life: from discovery to biotechnology” to take place in Melbourne 26 September to 1 October 2010. This premier international scientific meeting brings together the 12th IUBMB Conference, the 21st FAOBMB Conference and the ComBio2010 meeting. This unique blend of participating societies will generate an outstanding scientific and technological event, which will be of major interest to biochemists, molecular biologists, cell and developmental biologists, and plant scientists. The world’s top speakers in these areas will present their exciting new findings in major plenary sessions and in a wide array of more specialist symposia. The conference will be held in the newly built Melbourne Convention Centre. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is centrally located on the banks of the Yarra River adjacent to the Southbank entertainment precinct and within close walking distance of all major city hotels, motels and apartments. Melbourne is one of the top ten convention destinations in the world. Sporting and cultural events and shopping opportunities are a major part of life in Melbourne and the integrated transport network of trains, trams and buses make it easy and comfortable to get around. Melbourne is one of the most dynamic cities of the Asia-Pacific region. It is renowned for scientific research and development, medical innovation and technological progress. We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne, Australia, in September 2010. Web site: www.ozbio2010.com .

FEBS COURSES and WORKSHOPS in 2010

Présentation:
The FEBS ACC program offers many opportunities for researchers to exchange information with leading colleagues from all over the world. Importantly, young scientists get opportunities to receive training in their field of interest as well as building professional networks with fellow colleagues. Youth Travel Fund (YTF) grants offer unique possibilities for young scientists to get financial support for attending FEBS events. More than 500 young scientists from many FEBS societies take advantage of YTF support every year. Hence, the ACC strongly encourages and invites applications from scientists representing all FEBS societies to organize courses and meetings addressing timely topics. A step-by-step protocol of how to apply and what to consider when applying to the ACC is described in the new ACC Flyer. All details, guidelines and application forms can be retrieved from the FEBS website at www.febs.org Please visit the FEBS website at www.febs.org and to download the FEBS Advanced Courses Committee (ACC) Poster listing all FEBS courses / workshops / special meetings to take place in 2010. Do not hesitate to contact the ACC Office in Vienna by e-mail (ocs@febs.org) in case you have any questions related to the operation of the FEBS ACC or if you wish to submit an application and need feedback before doing so. .
